Frocester Festival... Music, Drinks, Food, Cricket, Fun!

The perfect 'Festival in a Day' – Saturday 24th August 2024

Live Music

It wouldn’t be Frocester Festival without a fantastic line up of brilliant live music!

Please see below for details of the superb local acts who we've booked for the 2024 festival...

Main Stage

1.30pm / The Jazz Friday Big Band
Starting off our Festival this year are Jazz Friday, the big band from Stroud!
Led by musical director David Smith, you can expect to hear up to 20 musicians as well as two vocalists, and the band's music ranges through Swing, Soul, Blues, Funk and Latin Jazz.

Luckily for us they're happy to perform on any day, but they rehearse on Fridays... hence the name!
3pm / 52nd State
52nd State are an Americana and Country Rock band, based in Bristol. They are six experienced musicians who are passionate about great live music, and it shows!

The band are committed to introducing local audiences to the joys of Americana and 'New Country' music... which doesn't mean traditional Country & Western songs (so no Dolly Parton or Tammy Wynette!), but you will hear many great tunes you’ll recognise from the likes of John Mellencamp, Lady Antebellum, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Taylor Swift and Tom Petty, to name just a few!
4.30pm / Wired 4 Sound
Wired 4 Sound are a popular 5-piece, Bristol-based, Pop/Rock/Motown/Soul covers band, with loads of feel good material ranging from the 60s to the present day.
This entertaining band includes both female and male lead vocals, as well as trumpet, trombone, guitar, bass, drums and keyboard players.
6pm / Free Spirit
For 30+ years, Free Spirit have been wowing audiences across the UK with songs from all the decades. We've been trying to get this party band from Gloucester along to Frocester for quite a few years now, and we're really chuffed to have finally been able to make it happen.
Expect to have a PAAARTY!!
8pm / Wildcard
Wildcard are a Bristol-based 5-piece band, playing high quality rock and pop covers. With a wide set list from across the decades, they especially like to rock up '80s classics in an attitude and riff-driven way.
With covers ranging from Fleetwood Mac through to Queen, from A-ha through to Soft Cell, from T-Rex to Europe, from ABBA to Pink Floyd, Wilcard have something for everyone.

Having played the Bristol and South West circuit since 2010, and with over 600 gigs and countless festivals (including Frocester 2022!) behind them, expect to hear the classics and the not-so-well-known, rocked up and in your face!
10pm / Tommy & The Fuse
Our headliners this year are the fantastic Tommy and The Fuse.

This award-winning party band from Gloucester have become one of the most in-demand live music acts in the south west, after enjoying many years of gigging internationally, supporting chart acts and rocking celebrity weddings.

Between the four band members - Tommy Lewis (Vocals/Keys), Mark Maycock (Drums), Sean Carless (Vocals/Guitar) and Andy Gifford (Bass) - their musical history includes working alongside huge international chart acts and celebrities such as Sir Elton John, Jools Holland, Cheryl Cole, Ricky Gervais and Lionel Richie, as well as recording at Abbey Road Studios.
The band's set list is as varied as their tastes, and when they’re not creating their own tunes, they’re putting their own spin on hundreds of classic tracks by the likes of Madness, The Black Eyed Peas, The Killers, Ed Sheeran, Rudimental, Maroon 5, Queen and Bruno Mars.
In short; as you can see from this photo when they were last here at Frocester, Tommy and The Fuse play "whatever it takes to help a few thousand people jump up and down"!
